The stand-by eliminator socket works with your television’s remote control to shut down your entertainment system at the mains when you have finished watching television.

The socket’s sensor learns to recognise when you have pressed the off button on your television’s remote control and shuts off the mains supply eliminating wasted stand-by power. It will also work with any other household appliance that uses a remote control.
