Wi-eye has been designed with Eco-eye users who want to take things up a level. The Wi-eye is essential for customers that wish to analyse collected data.
As a more sophisticated accessory to the Eco-eye Elite or Mini, Wi-eye provides a computer interface for the power usage information transmitted every 4 seconds by the Eco-eye transmitter and can provide real-time output or record for later analysis.
Housed in a neat plastic casing with a USB cable, the Wi-eye has a
rechargeable battery, 433MHz radio transceiver, 4Mbyte flash memory and a microprocessor with dedicated USB interface. Supplied with a charger plug for longer recording periods, Wi-eye receives information by radio, in the same way as the Eco-eye displays. An operating Eco-eye is required as Wi-eye uses the same signals. Once charged and configured to the correct channel to receive signals from the Eco-eye transmitter, it records every reading to its memory which is sufficient for 4 million
readings or 92 days at one every 4 seconds.
The battery in the unit lasts
for 2 to 3 weeks when fully charged whilst for extended operation, it can be powered by the mains adapter supplied.
